Opposition leader R. Ashoka has demanded the resignation of Minister Priyank Kharge, alleging that he is indirectly responsible for the suicide of contractor Sachin Panchal.
In a press release, Ashoka stated, “Does the Ambedkar Constitution not apply to the Kharge family? Priyank Kharge, who preaches to everyone, should resign and show some morality. Priyank Kharge is not the Nizam of Kalaburagi, nor are his followers Razakars. It is clear that Minister Priyank Kharge’s associates are involved in the death of contractor Sachin. Therefore, he should resign immediately.”
Ashoka further stated, “Earlier, when contractor Santosh committed suicide, the resignation of Minister Eshwarappa was demanded. Now, Minister Priyank Kharge should resign. Sachin Panchal wrote Raju Kapanur’s name in a death note before ending his life by jumping in front of a train. He accused Kapanur of cheating and making death threats.”
Ashoka criticized the police for their negligence in not registering a complaint filed by Sachin Panchal’s family before his suicide.
Ashoka also accused Raju Kapanur, a close associate of Priyank Kharge, of being a goon. “Raju Kapanur, who is known to be in Kharge’s inner circle, was previously arrested for possessing an illegal pistol. Even after knowing this, Minister Priyank Kharge has not distanced himself from such associates. If such goons are associates of a minister, it means that our state is ruled by goons and rowdies,” Ashoka said.
