New Delhi: In a major breakthrough in the fight against Naxalism, the security forces successfully eliminated 31 Naxalites during an operation in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah hailed this operation as a significant step towards making India a Naxal-free nation.
In a statement on social media, Shri Amit Shah expressed that this operation represents a crucial success in the effort to eliminate Naxalism from the country. The operation also led to the recovery of a large cache of weapons and explosives. However, in the course of this operation, the security forces lost two brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the fight against Naxalism. The Union Home Minister paid tribute to these martyrs, stating that the nation will always be indebted to them for their sacrifice.
Shri Amit Shah extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and assured that the government will continue to fight against Naxalism with full resolve. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating Naxalism by March 31, 2026, ensuring that no more lives are lost to this menace.
The operation is being seen as a significant victory in the government’s ongoing efforts to bring peace and stability to areas affected by Naxal insurgency.
